best feel condoms

Oh hello there pregnancy avoidant parent, person who wants to avoid fertilisation and all known STD risks that go alongside acts of a sexual nature. Are you here to find out what the best feel condoms are that mimic that real skin feel without having to resort to sheepskin condoms? You're in the right place. We've tried and tested the UK's top real feel condoms so you can go straight for the purchase.

Latex free condoms

Now let's be upfront, not everyone can use latex condoms so if you have a latex allergy or are sensitive to latex there is no need to worry, because our top picks in this post are actually latex free, non-latex condoms! There's something about their special, alternative materials that make them just a bit more competitive when it comes to that bare skin condom feel...

So let's dive in and look at our reviews of the best feel condoms for that real skin-on-skin feel....

Durex Intensity condom review

Our first review is the Durex Intensity better body heat condoms. These condoms boast better body heat transfer material, "so all you feel is your partner". The thickness is an ultra thin plus condom with a straight walled shape, teat ended, with extra silicone lube. The girth states a regular fit is a nominal width of 56mm.

Our thoughts on the Durex Intensity condoms:

Although this product worked well and there were no 'issues' using them, this product did not come top of our list for the following reasons: The packaging fort the individual condom was much harder to open than its competitor (not what you want in the heat of the moment!) The fit, although 56mm was too snug and tight when putting the condom on and rolling it down ( this was unexpected as the 56mm girth advertised is wider than the 53mm girth of the competitor below, which did not feel too tight) and we presume this may be that the material is not as stretchy a the competitor. The material, although smooth, did have a slightly 'plasticky' feel which we found actually made it feel a little 'cool' rather than having a transfer of body heat as expected. The act itself was still enjoyable, and these still performed better than normal, standard condoms which haven't been manufactured with a bare skin condom feel in mind.

Verdict: Better than a standard condom, but didn't come close to competing with the winner (below)

SKYN condom review

Our next review is the SKYN Original skin-on-skin feel condoms. the SKYN condoms are made from their "revolutionary SKYNFEEL material which feels so soft and comfortable you can feel everything". Straight shaped with a reservoir tip and ultra-smooth lubricant. The girth states a regular fit is a nominal width of 53mm...

SKYN condoms size

The SKYN condom original size is 53mm but they also have other sizes available and have a girth measuring tool on their website too.

Our thoughts on the SKYN original condoms:

This skin-on-skin feel condom came out as an absolute winner for us. The packaging for each individual condom was study but also quick and easy to tear and open in the heat of the moment. The condoms are well lubricated and easy to put on and roll down quickly and easily. Although these are stated as being a smaller width than their competitor they had more stretch and so fitted better with a more comfortable feeling both in putting it on, in use and removing. There was zero scent and no plasticky feel. This genuinely is the closest we have found to that real-skin feeling for both partners.

Verdict:  Best feel condoms. Total winner, these are a game changer for anyone looking for condoms that feel as close as possible to not wearing anything. 10/10 recommend.

Best lube for condoms

Sorry, but if you're not using lube during your sexual shenanigans then you're missing out! This is a must to reduce friction (the not nice kind) and increase sensitivity both inside and out. If you're a female who has previously given birth then you will no doubt know the need for and benefits of using a good lubricant during intercourse.

Of course, it is really important to make sure that whatever lubricant you choose to use it is compatible with your form of protection. That means no using vaseline guys - on ANY type of condom! For the health and comfort of the lady V its also worth finding something that plays well with the PH levels.

With SKYN condoms you can safely use both water-based or silicone based lubricants.

With Durex Intensity condoms you can safely use silicone based lubricants but NOT water-based lubricants.

It is important that you always check this with your condom choice in order to keep yourself and your partner safe.

Our best lubricant of choice is a silicone based lube which can be used with both of these types of latex free condoms called Uber lube which we have linked here for ease. It's at the pricier end but absolutely worth the additional outlay as it lasts ages, has amazing payoff, is safe for latex-free condoms and can even be used underwater. The consistency is smooth rather than sticky, and if you or your partner were unfortunate enough to suffer from tearing during childbirth, then this is OBGYN recommended for your comfort. It doesn't harm healthy bacteria or alter PH levels and is scent free too. This one also has a cheeky side gig as a being a brilliant hair serum if you're into products that multi-task!
