Parent Bloggers top posts for Spring 2026

 parent blogger spring blogs

Spring has sprung, and this month has seen some truly inspiring, informative and helpful blog posts from Parent Bloggers across the UK. Here are some of our top picks from those we have read this month...

With winter well and truly behind us, you may be casting your thoughts to to the Spring or Summer break, and wondering whether you can afford a last minute get away to somewhere warm with the family?

If you're looking to stay within Europe, rather than braving the long haul for now (and not just because of the current jet fuel shortage!) the Terri has written a gorgeous review post on Ponient Dorada Palace Hotel in Salou Spain, where she was lucky enough to spend some CHILD FREE TIME (apparently this IS possible as a parent??) with her friend. There are some really honest pointers in the post so do check that out if this one is on your list of places to visit.

If Spain is your location of choice, but you'd prefer to move away from the all inclusive hotel lifestyle and get out and about and see the sights or perhaps a full-on road trip, then Jen's complete guide to driving in Spain is a must read. She covers the need for an International Driving Permit (we've driven in Spain in the past without one as we were totally unaware!), the different rules of the road - such as right of way on a Spanish roundabout, parking rules, road sign translations and everything you need to hire a car in Spain. Definitely check this out before travelling!

If you're looking a little further afield than Europe, the Fiona has a post on The Best Orlando Itinerary With Kids: 3, 5 & 7 Day Disney World and Universal Plan. This post includes itinerary options for a 3 day,  day or 7 day stay to suit different holiday budgets, and is super child-focused so that you can make memories as a family without it being overwhelming!

Of course travelling does have wider environmental impacts, and this needs to be balanced with providing experiences with your family. Éva has written a thoughtful and incredibly informative post on how to how to travel the world sustainably. This covers everything from choice of transport, minimising waste and supporting local economies, and is worth a read no matter how far you decide to travel this summer.

If you still need to earn a few extra pennies to add to your holiday fund this year, then have a read of Hayley's post all about the best 'get paid to...' sites for making money to see if you can side hustle your way to a holiday this year. This can include completing surveys, watching videos, undertaking tasks  or even playing games!

If a holiday isn't possible for you this summer, but you still want to make sure the kids have fun and are entertained, then these play ideas for kids from Fiona are a great place to start in planning some exciting and also educational activities for your little ones. If you have a tuff tray then these tuff tray ideas are also super fun and engaging and allow for independent play.

Don't forget to treat yourself this Spring and Summer either - Cécile has been trying out the new British Boxers Bamboo Range which is great for warmer and cooler nights. She chose the soft sand colour which looks so calm and gorgeous as a loungewear set. They also have this range in an ultra blue with shorts which you can see in this Summer nightwear review here. With pyjamas this soft and comfortable, you may have trouble getting up n the morning! If this sounds like you or one of your loved ones, then Jen has been reviewing the Homedics Wake band, which uses gentle vibrations to rouse you from sleep, rather than a noisy alarm! She tested this on her 19 year old son who is apparently notoriously difficult to wake up! Pop over and have a read to see how it performed in those circumstances.

Whilst were on the subject of blogs written by UK parent bloggers - who do YOU often picture in your mind when thinking about a 'Blogger' as a person? I'd bet, like most, you'd assume most bloggers to be female. There are in fact a huge number of Dad Bloggers out there, and Steve has written a list of the best UK Dad blogs to follow in 2026 here.  I've been blogging since 2015 and it was nice to see a few recognisable names on there (some, admittedly, I didn't realise were actually still blogging!).

Have you ever wondered how Bloggers actually make money blogging? Not all do of course, but for many this is also their main income. In this post, Tina explains 5 easy ways to make money from blogging. Importantly, she explains that you do need to make sure you are registered as self employed and paying tax if you start earning money and there are different rules depending on which country you live in. Blogging is not a quick win however, it can takes years of dedication and building up content and an audience to start earning money, so you really do have to start out just for the love of it!

Speaking of which, if you are a Parent Blogger and would like to submit a guest post to this website in order to publish some of your work elsewhere, then feel free to get in contact using the contact email on our page.
